| Dear Pat, We've been here for 2 weeks, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!! We enjoyed hiking the forests, strolling the beaches and watching wildlife. We had close encounters with a black bear on the beach. We saw whales, even breaching Humpback Whales. Heron Cottage was a really nice home to stay and rest in between all the activities. We've been to Tofino may times, but this was a special trip with new experiences. A magnificent meal at the Wick Inn at the Point Restaurant, new beaches, surfed, explored. A whole week without internet, incredible. The delicious bed, fleece blankets, fabulous patio furniture, lovely fireplace, embracing leather chair, fabulous driftwood table and on and on... It is centrally located for walking, cycling, beach activities and bird watching. Since we are of the senior population, we appreciate grab bar in the bathroom. This location was a surprise for the bride. Needless to say I got the most awesome "happy dance" when she took a tour of the cottage!
